sorry but a sailfin tang is no where near suitable. they need a large space as they get very large. probably one of the smallest tangs is a bristle tooth tang and is more suitable for a 3x2x2 but they also get quiet large .it wasn't Alan, it was one of the guys working there. Told him it was 2.5-3 foot and 125L.
So, you actually purchased this fish :) They are very cute when that small but it will soon grow. It's about the size of a 20c coin now and just picking off the rocks.
I have got too agree with this - my Yellow Tang does big poops everywhere which generally hang around until I siphon them out.The other thing is they are poop machines, they need to eat lots and they poops lots, meaning unless you have really good filtration etc they tend to cause nutrient issues in small tanks as well
I'm not saying I'm keeping him, just that he isn't showing any of these signs yet. Like you said, as in your Q tank that is smaller than this you have 3 yellows that are bigger than this one, he will be ok until I can get him to a bigger tank, I don't need to find him a home today.hmmm that dosnt mean to you keep him, just that you have a small amount of time to find him a new home
