Alrighty, I'll do the intro. I've been around on the forums for almost a year but mostly lurked before recently.

My name is Erin. I am 34. I live on the Central Coast of NSW and work up here. I study a Bachelor of Arts in my spare time (yeah right!). I'm taking my time with that so at the moment am in an "off" period. My health is a bit touchy sometimes, I suffer from fairly severe depression which has been flaring recently and disrupting things. Aside from that I just get sick a lot with colds that never go away. I've been hoping to get a tank up and running soonish so I have something to think about which is for the love of colour, movement and living art. I need to relax :p . My husband is my best friend, his name is Matt. He's a couple of years younger than I :p. He's a Meteorologist. We have a daughter who is 4 and a half. She is an absolute blessing and way too smart. She taught herself to read yesterday and was happily doing maths activities with only a small amount of help while I sat there looking like >> o_0

I'll stick a pic of us from a couple years ago when we went to Daydream Island and held a bamboo shark. My hair often changes colour and is now all white blonde.

I enjoy skiing and rollerblading though rarely do them these days, keep a chihuahua, koi and tropical fish and have several fish themed tattoos.

G'day Erin (@ezza) and Tim (@timtam) sounds like you both have your hands full with family, study and fish tanks! Got lots of tattoos myself but mainly fantasy art themed, was going to get a marine scene on each leg but I ran out of funds (not to mention the damn things really hurt now I'm older!) if they aren't in places you would rather not show I'd like to see them if you feel like posting (no pressure, tatts are sometimes public but are always private at the same time regardless of where they are.)

Love the handle Tim! I have kept a variety of freshwater tanks before moving to marines and discus are still one of my favourite fish. We have a freshie section on the forums so post away if you have some pics to share :-)

I don't mind sharing them. they're not in dodgy places, but most people can't see them as clothes do tend to cover them for the day to day.
* The tornado is on the back of my right shoulder, I designed that one when I was younger.. it's the whole stormchaser/love of weather thing.
* The dolphin is on my stomach to the right. It was my first and represents peace and freedom, something I desired amd had not yet found when I was 18.
* The koi tattoo i got last year and is for the love of fish, but also carries the traditional meaning of the koi climbing the waterfall which represents overcoming challenges, which is me battling depression. I've been slowly climbing back up from the blackest and deepest point I have ever hit back in 2011. I got it done to mark 12 months of recovery to that point... and the pain was a bit of a reminder too. The orchids represent my dad, who died last year and was a great lover of orchids, he was 91 and really, the most incredible person I have ever met. He was loved by so many and was very much what kept me going for most of my life. The other 2 orchids represent my daughter and Matt, the best family a girl could have.
* The last one is a turtle I got in Hawaii on Maui. We were given the trip as a reward for Matt's work achieving some goals. The boss bought all the full time staff and their partners a trip to Hawaii for a week. It was one of the best experiences of my life. In Maui we went on a boat trip to an atoll called Molokini. We got to snorkel in the ocean and see amazing fish and corals and things. It was HUGE for me. I love the sea, I love fish, I love sharks... but I am desperately frightened of swimming in the ocean and it was massive for me to get in the water. We saw so many of the most gorgeous sea turtles on that day and throughout the week... It inspired me and moved me beyond words. The Hawaiian word for turtle is Honu, and the image I got is the traditional style of drawing Honu.

Tx for sharing Erin! Very nice work on them and its great that they all have meaning for you, most of mine were just because they looked good and fit in nicely with the other ones. A couple are reminders of things too.

G'day @TenzinGampo welcome to the forums!

I suppose I should introduce myself,

I'm Holly, 29, studying a master of psychology specialising in educational and developmental psychology. I was a chef before that for many years, but it didn't energise me like psychology does. I've always been a keen DIYer, and if I hadn't been a chef I would have explored carpentry and cabinet making as a career. I'm a keen gardener as well and just love the aesthetic beauty of gazing at your own creations (living or not). I have two great doggies and a friendly partner livinth me. Psychology can be quite cerebral and intense, so my activities and surroundings help me from getting too stuck in there.

I've had fish on and off since I was very young, and got into reefing when I was a chef and needed something to counter all the stress I experienced. I've decided to go legit and join the community as a way of expanding my social circles. As many probably know, you can't blabber forever to your significant other or friends about this stuff unless they are into it too. I have two great doggies and a friendly partner living at home with me. I loved meeting some people yesterday at the fish crawl in melbourne and look forward to many more meetings and events in the future.

I'd love to get into propagation as many others have, and infect as many friends as possible with the reefing bug :D

better late than never,im basicly a dick head and i like to take the piss out of people,i usually have somthing stupid to say
in most cases but occasionally show my normal side.im something of a rascal and my antics have been known to
upset people and im by most part missunderstood.

I have been known to have random rants and there isnt many people that i associate with that dont eventually fuck me off.

i would give the shirt off my back to most people who ask for it and am willing to share my 15 years experiencees in the hobby
with anyone who cares to ask.

i have a wicked sense of humor and am known by some to be warped and quite depraved but im not really, its all just a show
and my life is a stage.

my hobby is my drug and im fully addicted and hope i dont lose it like my mind.

edit: oh and i allmost forgot.....im a good root.......
