The Tank/move
Introduction:
Hi, I am Andrew i have currently got a 2 tropical set ups and a native set up. I am now venturing into the Reef side of this hobby, I have decided to pick up a second hand tank that i found off facebook.
System Objectives: The objectives if this tank will be to keep a thriving mixed reef.
System Type: The tank will be a mixed reef
Display System: The tank dimensions will be 4x2x2
Strike up Date: I will be picking the tank up on the 31/05/15
Display Tank: The tank is a 4x2x2 with a weir in the back left corner
Display Lighting: Lighting specifications.
Stand: Stand specifications.
Hood: Hood specifications.
Sump: Sump specs if applicable.
Refugium: Refugium Specifications if applicable.
Refugium Lighting: Lighting specifications.
Support systems:
System Water: Natural salt water or artificial salt water
Display Water circulation: In tank water circulation.
Return Pump: Jebao dc800
Skimmer: Skimz SV203 DC
Evaporation Top Up:Aqua Smart ATO
Chemical Support:
Calcium Addition: cant remember brand but yes i will
Alkilinity Addition: cant remember brand but yes i will
Other Chemical Maintenance: magnesium, cant remember brand but yes i will
Now that i have told you all that, i am now going to explain the move proccess;
1. drain the tank into barrels, put fish and coral in bags, put rock in a barrel pack equipment up and take home.
2. when i get home i will be keeping fish and coral in tubs while i set tank up.
3. clean all the equipment and sand, then let sand dry out in sun.
4. set it all up
5. around 3 days later move fish and coral into tank.
6. done
