I had no idea the red algae was so hard...broke about 20 razor blades in the process and 6 containers of vinegar...and a few layers of skin!

Yeah getting there. Am really happy considering only a couple of weeks old.

Have a stack of hairy algae growing on the glass, so scraped everything down, cleaned heaters, etc then did a big water change, well 50 litres, and looking good.

Can't believe how much the clowns eat...hope they haven't got worms!!!

You have come a long way in the last few months Sven - well done.

Your clowns will eat as much as you give them as, on the reef, they don't know when their next meal is going to arrive. If you give them too much, most will just pass straight through them and end up as poo for your filter to deal with. You will get used to how much is required over time, just don't overdo it to start with.

I thought I should put this on as this is what I would like to upgrade to

Gazebopic.jpg

It was in another section

The tank I have drawn is 8' x 3' wide x 2' deep....alternatively 6' x 4' wide x 2' deep (depth would be top of sand to water line)

Any comments on tank size? Both have same literage.

Yes golden moments hey LOL

LR has been going for two months, tank for one month...very happy with how it's going, but I keep on top of water tests and water changes.

Doesn't mater how much I read, still stuff things up......

Happy to have a bit of picking....whats a reef without pickers!!
