You've come along way in that short amount of time. Congrats bud.

I see you modified your scape again, what prompted the shift?

Calc alg is sh^t stuff, Its kinda like rooting the fat ones whilst intoxicated, at first it seemed a good idea, its only till after you got it that you think twice :) lol
I suggest people stay away from silver bullets such as purple up. The more your tank demands of its parameters, the more it shows up in response anyways, so enjoy the time you have without it - trust me! Its like bubble gum in the hair!

For those that still want to pro-actively steam ahead, you can manually 'seed' your tank as it were. Take a small rock that is covered in it, bag it, and smash it to bits with a hammer. Chicken feed your way to smothered heaven :)

Hi Vspec,

The scape changed because of the Coral beauty that I had was nipping my corals, trying to catch it and of course it hides everywhere, so I have to pull the whole tank down..... sad ay....

After getting my Calcium, dKH and Mg right (440,10,1400) Coraline algae start to spread even more. My calcium uptake rate is at 40ppm per week and 3kH per week, Mg didn't change much.

Feeding like crazy but phosphate and nitrate are close to 0 using RedSea test kits
