Not yet, but I have 4 in quarantine at the shop. I've said it a MILLION times and I'll probably have to say it a MILLION more times, Gonioporas LOVE dirty water. They need nutrients as well as suspended matter to really thrive.@ReeferRob Do you happen to have any Goni's in your tank ? I would be really interested to see if dosing inhibits them. I dose NoxPox and the only coral that suffers in my tank are Goni's, (although they dont die)...
That is why in the end I didn't persist with dosing. ALL my gonis closed up. I still run a uln but do it naturally now. :)@ReeferRob Do you happen to have any Goni's in your tank ? I gave up after 7 months. Corals didn't like it and to be honest in our size tank was costing a bomb weekly to feed them. I still run a clean tank but naturally now :)@Lesley the reason for depleting and supplementing is to have fine tune control or the coral diet, as now you can feed the right stuff at the right amount. Instead of relying of fish food, to provide proteins to the corals, you can now feed a proper protein diet.
It tends to result in better growth, better coloration and better ability to heal coral tissue.
Indeed, uncessary for a healthy and thriving tank. It is purely to achieve optimal results.
I think it's a Seachem and I took a sample to university today and the kit's spot on.Which test kits for nitrates mate?
