Definitely don't sell the tank if you can help it, for one you will lose ALOT of money and when the time comes that you want to setup again it will cost loads more to start from scratch. Also I find that my tank is my reefuge after a shitty day at work etc I find having a cuppa tea or a beer (no more banana smoothies near my tank though :banghead) sitting in front of my tank helps massively to relax etc.
Your tank is looking great and taken a lot of time and effort to get it there, be a shame to see you give it all away

your lights are they still t5 ?
I bought @Jimsim 's Maxspect Razor late last year. It was my Christmas present to myself (and boy did my husband make that clear!!) as the T5 tubes were needing replacement and the opportunity was just too good to miss. It was a good move. We avoided most of the trouble with the tank overheating that we experienced the summer before. I am just starting to really nail the light settings now for best strength and spectrum with the least algae and burning to the corals.

Leave it with me, I know a couple people around here that have decent skimmers sitting aside doing nothing. Might be able to steal one for a slab ;)
Yeah if people have a better skimmer laying around then you should go with that one. No point replacing a dud with another one. I'm having the same issues with the one I have running. Keeps stopping producing bubbles! Also, all the pipes slip off if moved around.

My chiro specialises in neurological techniques that relate to what you've described. She mentioned she would put together a few names she knows in Sydney that do the same for you to have just for your own information. She mentioned that chiropractors that specialise in neuro techniques are very rare. If you haven't used them already there is a Medicare item that is based around chronic health conditions which gets you 5 session rebates for a variety of allied health practitioners. Just needs to be set up with a gp

I'm not a chiro person. I strongly believe they're quacks. However, I know that others have success with them. We're 70km north of Sydney too, so I wouldn't go to any of the people she suggests. I'll talk to the GP about the chronic health rebates. Inevitably, that will be linked with income though and we would be denied due to my husband's income. It happens a lot. I've earnt less than half of my actual salary so far this FY because of my degenerating health. We really are living off his income for everything and we are most definitely not living a life of luxury... But because of the fact that he earns over the relevant threshold, we are unable to access extra funding despite my medical expenses running into the thousands every year for the last few years. It's a vicious cycle. We need him to work more and have more responsibility to earn the money to pay for my bills, but then he's never home to help me so I have to do a lot of stuff around the house and caring for our daughter which can make it all worse.

How did your SPS fare? I have a couple of frags I have found reasonably hardy if you want some on Saturday

There's one tiny branch left. I think it got burnt by the light and I only cottoned on to the cause at the last moment. I will dose some lanthanum to drop the Phos down and I would absolutely love to try some tank hardened sticks. Hopefully this time it will be fine. I have a small amount of hope that maybe my Acro will live. You never know while it's got the glow!

Up until this point in my life I had avoided them like the plague and felt the same as you. I'd be happy to just update you after a few months and my second X-ray to see how things are going. There have been positive changes (posture, neck pain) but I'm pretty skeptical so will wait for the objective evidence. I was at the end of my rope after countless physio's, gps, kinseologists, personal trainers, masseuses etc telling me they knew the answers to my issues. All of them made it worse. I truly hope that you can obtain some improvement in your symptoms :rolleyes
