Acrylic isn't that hard to work with, but the additional flexibility of the stuff comes with extra work! Once you know how it behaves when you bend it, cut it, glue it and accidentally mark it, it's straight forward enough stuff. It's just that you get to spend an inordinate amount of time finishing the stuff (a bit like working with timber).only if I can teach you how to do it :) I just want to know how to bend and work with acrylic! Then you can create some interesting sumps :D
Tight bends are far easier with thin acrylic - trade off is that the stuff is pretty weak - especially at the bend where you've displaced acrylic from one side, and stretched it on the other :P
Given it's horrendous price, there's a reason why glass is so popular here :P
Now any time you'd like to come here and redo the mess I made on my last sump creation effort :P
