Ed, you managed to crack me up bud. :)

Dont get me wrong, I do love a BB styling if your able to pull it off, (and clean the ^#$^ing thing) however if one little 'accidental on purpose' stir up caused a total nuke fest on the nutrient front, then your doing something wrong.
Slow grid square turn over of your bed has been performed many times by many reefers during the natural course of keeping bud. Depending on which camp you reside, the belief is this is actually beneficial. So Im definitely not left wondering where your beliefs reside bud..lol

I had DSB in many tanks, don't get me wrong it does give that natural look. I prefer bare bottom because it just so much easier to siphone out crap, especially when i lands in one dead spot area in my tank. When i pulled out my DBS, man did it stinks (like someone cupcaked me lol). That can't be good if there's an accidentally stir (very slim chance of happen but you never know). Most methods has it positive and negatives, but we always try to minimise the negative :)
