how often do you dose in your tank mate? getting into sps corals and just getting some tips and experience on how to grow them :)

Im doing about 3ml every 2nd day of randys recipe mix for alk and cal. Thinking I need a doser but worried abit about having auto doser dumping a whole lot in by accident.

I dont really have too much sps at the moment. Have had a fair amount of growth on all sps besides a green pink birdsnest strangely enough.

I remember on my old tank I put a superman monti in one day and it was dead the next. Having a well thoughtout tank really makes a huge difference. Now the superman monti I have is brighter and bigger than when I got it!!! :D

If you have any, try squirting some reef roids towards him ... he'll look like he is getting the biggest hit of hardcore drugs ever ;)

Not sure how long it took to be honest, I feel like they've just always done it fairly quickly once being introduced and settled.

Just watched the porcelain crab release all its baby crabs into the water column!!! Shame I dont have any way to raise them lol

@Priscacara. Yeah, it climbed all the way to the top then jumped up to release them all. Cant see any at all now. :(

what are your experiences with the fire goby? i want to get a decora goby but a bit unsure about not having a lid. i see yours is also hoodless. had any troubles?

Just an update. Grabbed a maxima clam and a bubble tip anenome :D. The crab ran straight to it to nest. haha

@daniel borja. I thought it was a risk I could take. It is one of the few fish my partner loves. I've been fairly lucky with it.

All I can say is minimise the risk of it jumping by having fish that wont shock him or have kids running past banging on the floor etc.

Also, make sure you have loads of good little hide spots for him. Mine when its scared swims straight for his little hide hole.
