have had these corals for a very long time now and never new the name of them would be great to find out but any help would be sweet :cool:

yep, palys. Be careful handling Palys and possibly some Zoas because some can contain Palytoxin. Some fraggers insist it doesnt exist, others have had nasty (probably anaphylactic) reactions. Personally I'd rather be on the safe side.

sorry for the hijack but whats the difference between zoas and palys... I always thought they were different names for the same thing

palys are usually larger with a wider-opening oral disk. There is a fine line between the 2 and it is pretty much a taxonomic issue.
