Fishy's 400 litre
Introduction: From Launceston in Tasmania. Trying to create a tank and contents that can keep myself occupied. A expensive but rewarding hobby.

Reefing Since: 2004, from coldwater then tropical tanks prior to turning salt in 2004.

System Objectives: Wow factor, clean, colourful, interesting tank with the "unusual" fish or coral.

Type of reef: Mixed

Display System: AquaReef 400, White (Limited Edition)

Initial Fill Date: 6th October, 2012

Display Tank Dimensions: 132 x 52 x 73cm 400litres inc. sump

Display Lighting: T5 x 4, with a led moonlight on lunar cycle controller

Stand: Alloy space frame with plastic panels 132 x 52 88cm

Hood or Rimless: Hood

Sump Design: Aqua One

Filtration: Miracle Mud, Live Rock
Substrate: Carib Sea Agri-Live Black Hawaiian 3-5mm

Support systems:

NSW or ASW: NSW ( via Seahorse World, Beauty Point.)

Display Water circulation: 2 x 10000lph AquaOne Wavemakers & Controller, upgrade to 4.....

Return Pump: Aqua One Moray (3600 lph)

Skimmer:not used, due to Miracle Mud

Evaporation Top Up: Manual, (will change to auto)

Chemical additions:

Calcium Addition: Nil

Alkilinity Addition: Nil

Magnesium Addition: Nil

Prodibiotics Addition: Nil

Coral Food Addition: Nil

New tank on its way to Tasmania...hopefully it will arrive Friday.

Old tank dismantled and moved in readiness..... And everything put back ( short trip for the fish via the esky) ...actually the 80lt water change did it well!
Pix taken.... Just need to upload them via the laptop.

Well it has arrived at the LFS, brought home the miracle mud, heaters, skimmer and return pump tonight.
Stand/sump arrives tomoz night, tank worst case Wednesday night.

Stay tuned...

Its arrived from the wholesaler via UK, so sitting in the LFS , till he can deliver one of two huge boxes.
They wont fit fit in the SUV, 6 cm too low...

The stand is at home.... About to add the mud etc, tank tomorrow night.... Then dry rock etc, maybe substrate if it arrives..

Tank is on top of the stand, but pipes left at LFS, looks like i am plumbing tomoz night.
Miracle mud in the sump ready.... Tap tap tap, could have had 1/5th filled tonight.
