I think there are some blennys that are prone to nipping but my tiger blenny isn't known for it. Hopefully it doesn't get a taste for anything else because it's one of my fav fish! Maybe I'll have to make sure there is more nori for him to munch on.

You might have a rogue fish on your hands, years ago Seca had a lawnmower blenny with a taste for Acropora...yes I know that's excessively strange. Maybe the tiger blenny has some kind of dietary deficiency at the mo like what you are already thinking? Experiment with other foods perhaps?

Well hes always been a fat bugger but I have noticed I dont have a speck of algae in my tank anymore, so ill try more nori and see if it helps.

I doubt he'd be starved of algae as I'd expect there to be microalgae present in the tank. Now you have me wondering if a herbivorous fish turns to eating coral polyps because they contain symbiotic algae - anyone know?
