You never know what happened along the way to the fish from collection to your tank - I find it hard to believe that all LFS do a proper drip acclimation with their fish - considering they have no qualms about selling emaciated fish to unsuspecting buyers - I could just be being cynical though! :p

Yeah exactly, it was just a bummer that it was one of my first fish in a tank that has been planned for so long. Always have to keep an eye out for the healthy specimens and their healthy tank mates for extra safety :) Unfortunately if you haven't been around fish for very long that can be hard to differentiate for the newbies
