hello peeps, just purchased a new car for our second car, have to fly down and pick it up in Melbourne, so who should i visit. want to make a nice trip of it on the way back to the gold coast, thinking the great ocean road. where are nice photographic opportunitys along the way??

Congrats Firstly. Long way to go for a car, but why the hell not! Its a journey within a journey;)

Secondly, if the organised pick up is around our Vic met, your laughing, our famous qld matty can meet all members in one hit.
Thirdly, bring your camera, Vic is not short on sh^t to photograph. Although I want you take one of me leaping in the air, and one of a tram. We overlay them and make it look like I was hit by a tram and sent flying. :confused: haha, The resulting TAC claims will pay for my massive swimming pool in colombia.

Your pickup point is on the north side, so logically, those interested whom you actually want to meet (me, me, and hey....me also) should meet at a central point like the casino for a meal, or even better, we convince @K&J Aquatics that another mini BBq is in order...lol
Oh course we will bring a sausage each, what do you think we are, cheap

The GOR is completly in the opposite direction to where you will be and where you want to head (back to qld) but you could make a day trip out of it if you wanted to ..

Id be up for a quick mini bbq.. if the weathers nice i might even bring my new toy out there.. OR.. if it were just a few of us.. id be happy to host it and whip out the baby barbie and get the coals hot for an afternoon :)

Let us know dates etc and ill be happy to host :)

just watch out for the Speed cameras / fixed cameras north of Port Macquarie to the QLD border , They are everwhere , even up trees , The police on bikes will be looking for flash cars with Vic / Qld plates :eek

Ok , but watch the cruise control , They change the speed limit 8 times in a 20 km stretch , Blink and you will miss the signs ;)

sounds like the gold cost, if you didn't live here you wouldnt notice the change between 50 to 70 then to 50 all in a few hundred meters :mad:

How many k is that? Looks like an awesome trip. I once did Sydney-Brisbane and loved it.
