2 gbmc and some blennys

I doubt that a Falco would attack a healthy clam.

Are you sure that the clam wasn't already dying?

was quite happy when i put in tank might just be cold as tank is like 19 deg at moment warms up to 22 during the day but gets cold over night

will see how it goes

19 is going to cause you problems - the corals/fish are used to pretty consistent water conditions and don't tolerate large scale changes very well.

I would be blaming the changing temps rather than any fish that you have.

Why are you running the tank at colder temps?

winter and i found out last night one of my heaters is dead :-( its 22 deg at end of day my 300 ltr sump is out side so its getting cold cools down to 19 to 20 at night

Sounds like you need a heater with higher wattage and is it possible to put some insulation around the sump?

You can probably get away with daily swings of, maybe, 2-3 degrees but I wouldn't be risking more than that.
