I am building a shadow box ... take a look www.thereefuge.com/threads/shadow-box-light.351 and I need to find a 1' or 2' T5 fitting and tube...no fancy covers or dimmers, literally just a 'batten' type fitting....any suggestions

Next thing will be what type of tube...this is for testing a mock up so looking for cheap.

You won't find a 1' T5, Sven. Your best bet would be get a 1' LED fixture as or a 24W power compact fixture.
