Not sure what responses you are going to get here Sven.as everyone will have different experiences. As a general rule one coral species should not be in contact with any other coral species e.g.. hammers will happily exist touching each other but don't put a hammer with a torch.
If corals touch each other there will inevitably be a winner and a loser - that is what life on a coral reef is all about.
Also make sure you leave room for growth - you don't want to have to move a coral once it has become settled and growing well.
