Usergroups
Hello everyone,
I was just wondering if anyone would be interested in me implementing a usergroup feature. I have been going against this for quite some time because I do not want the flow of information to deter from the forums. However, I see there are a lot of people here with very similar interests. Some love coral, some love fish, some love DIY projects etc.
A group for example, would work with a member running it. So someone who really likes mantis shrimp can create the user group "Mantis Shrimp Fan Club". Other users will then be able to join this group, and post in updates when they post something about a Mantis Shrimp on the forums. Other members of the group will then be able to read all of the updates related to Mantis Shrimp.
There is a bit of work on the users side, as the group community will need to make sure it is always updated. The easiest way to look at this is to imagine a website within a website, but you control the way it functions.
I believe that implementing something like this will bring the community a bit closer together, and really allow the users to get involved in the direction The Reefuge takes. This will be a community effort, and there is some work to do. It can either fail, or it will become a key feature of The Reefuge - this will be up to the users to decide.
If you are interested in doing something like this, please click "like" on this post, that way I can count the numbers. If you have any suggestions to further this project, please feel free to post them in here.
Thanks.
