Removing Small Colony Of Hydroids
Hey guys,
What I originally thought was a colony of aiptasias side by side was found to be a small colony of hydroids, pesty little buggers.
Thoughts/opinions on getting rid of them?

I had some in my tank and just left them. I did just yank off their little branch thingy once too. Haven't seen them in ages, though they may be living under a rock now.

I have a few to get rid of as well, so very interested in any responses.

Apparently, using a hard syphon tube to break up the hydroids and then syphon them out works well.

They will go elsewhere by their own devices if you do nothing so you can not really be any worse off :) If you remove 90% of them and 10% survive then that is a huge improvement.

I haven't noticed any ill effects from them living in my tank. Does anything eat them?
