Evening all,

Quick question for those in the know.....

I've just spent a couple of hours glueing up 12 kilos of "Real Reef Rock". Once I finished I rinsed it off under a shower hose, I immediately could hear the rock absorbing the water (clicking).

I could also smell a strong smell of plaster. ive mixed up plenty of plaster in my time and it's definitely made of plaster.

This was sold to me as Real Real Reef rock from the USA.

Anyone else experienced this, Is this correct or have I been done?

Thanks for the reply MTG, yes mines been in the tank now for several weeks and appears fine too. Just strange smelling of plaster.

Being fake id assume its made out of some form of cement /plaster
