Question about a recovering Scolymia
Hi guys,

I have a Scolymia australis (really boring colour) that I thought had died completely, and it now has tissue growth in two places on the skeleton with a mouth each - should I frag them/separate them?

Thanks,
Megan

You're really trying to get to 25 threads aren't you :p

I have read of similar things happening with plate corals - I would enjoy what you have and not stress it any further by cutting it at this stage. Scoly's can be fragged but they recover very slowly.

Tried to come up with genuine posts but I was struggling, ha ha

Will be interesting how this Scolymia turns out, whether everything will join up. I will separate it into two corals eventually I think. I have another Scolymia that I would love to frag, but I'm too scared I will kill it. Have had it nearly 4 years - got it for $20 at the time, can't believe the prices on them now!
