Niger Triggerfish (Odonus niger)


4x2x2 lps sps and softeys 2 gbmc 2 pj cards 1 yellow hog fish (when he stays in dt) 1 unknown wrasse

I gona have to say no , he/she will much on your SPS and anything else slow enough.
Nice fish however

I have one, the fish has been in my tank for one year. Lovely fish, model citizen. I have LPS, SPS and soft corals. The Niger has smashed the odd snail, but hasn't kept the population from growing. And I have two red line cleaner shrimp too. Have had them for 1 and 1/2 years.

The Niger isn't in the pic. But you can see he hasn't destroyed the tank.

And below, the tank one year ago :))

Nope, as long as you realize what they eat and don't have that in the tank you're golden. I've never had an issue with them either, now Huma Huma, Clown and Undulatus can be hit or miss, but black triggers seem to be good natured. I have an Undulatus in the shop that's been great, he's like a puppy but others from other areas are little shits.
