just brought some corals and found this guy on the bottom of a frag plug. what is he and should I add him to my tank?
He is now sitting in a cup of water.

Bristle worm mate he is harmless and a good part of the CUC eats dead organic matter left over food etc.. Don't touch him with bare hands though his spikes can embed themselves in your skin causing irritation..

If the do ever get you wrap duct tape around the wound and pull the spike out..

doubt there is a reef tank out there without a few of these guys in it

I saw at least 2 today in my tank. They're all out to play. The guy at the LFS I chat to is studying marine biology and he said apparently the bristles also dissolve in vinegar. So you can soak it like a jellyfish sting also.
