So decided to hit the reset button after returning home from a 2 year London adventure. Started planning this build before I had even bought my plane ticket home! After all I had learnt from my previous 2 tanks, I didn't want to make any more mistakes, or take any unnecessary shortcuts on this one. I'll let the pictures do the talking.

Trying to keep cords and controllers neat and accessible:

Tried my hand at hard plumbing this tank. Sprayed PVC pipes red to make it look a bit nicer. Included an extra ball valve on the return manifold in case I want to add anything in the future.

Using an Eshopps Eclipse overflow for this tank which meant I had to drill it myself. Was scary, but so glad I did it. It is a pretty quiet overflow using the herbie setup. Thanks must go out to Sam Parker for his tutorial on Youtube. Check out his channel!

Made a new mount for the Kessil. Looks much sleeker and cleaner than the gooseneck. Also, the original AUX cable that came with the Kessil wasn't long enough to reach from the controller to the light unit via the gooseneck mount. I tried using other longer AUX cables but they all had issues with displaying the wrong colours and intensities.

Visited Reef River Reptile in Hornsby last week and what an amazing shop it is! Eric's customer service was amazing. Once again, thanks must go to Sam Parker's 'Sydney LFS Crawl' video on Youtube for making me aware of this store. Make sure you check it out when you get a chance. Came away with a few bags of goodies, as well as some livestock from Le Aquatic in Lansvale.

Great to see someone return to the hobby with so many leaving over the years. You'll find this and MASA and pretty slow these days - all the activity seems to be on various Facebook groups.

Welcome back. Tanks looking good and I'm sure the learnings (not mistakes) from the first 2 tanks will put you in a good place this time.

Thanks mate. Shame that these forums have slowed down. They were great sources of information and personal experience over the years for me.

What sort of groups are there on Facebook that you know of? I think it's important we still maintain a good community of reefers to be able to share knowledge.

Welcome back.

Love the cabinet and wish my cabling was anywhere near as neat and well thought out. Well done.
