The corals were amazing, but the sheer volume of fish was mind boggling. You could look up from 30 metres down and see thousands of trigger fish and schools of anthias that must been in the 10s of thousands,Bet you were just itching to do some coral shopping, I know I would be!
Great pics, and post more :)
It was also cool to see Domino Damselfish hosting in the anemones.I love the picture of the nigripes clown.
Stonings still happen in the Maldives! There was one handed out this week for a woman who fell pregnant out of wedlock!Sri Lanka and the Maldives are a BIG no no for coral collecting. I think they'd put your ass UNDER the jail for it, lol.

The Maldives is an alcohol free country as well.....lucky we stayed at Club Med and they have their own island so the alcohol was free flowing and included :D.So wrong
I guess because of what I used to do it doesn't bother me. I have to remember that it's not my country and if the people want to effect change they need to do it of their own accord just as we did here. I'm one of isolationist Americans, as M's grandma used to say we need to tend to our own knitting. So wrong
We're all born with the same intrinsic sense of right and wrong except for the odd psychopath.I guess because of what I used to do it doesn't bother me.
