Dead Blue Green Chromis
I just put my first fish in my tank last week 4 blue green chromis,
they have been doing really well until today I found one of the floating uncontrollably around my tank.
It was swimming but rolling around upside down and on its side. And then about half hour later it was dead.
The other chromis seem to be doing fine.
Has anybody else had this happen to them? And if so do you know why?

Bullying was probably the cause. Chromis tend to cull themselves down to a number that they're happy with.
It's preferable to start with an odd number.
The chromis I have, and have had, usually get down to three - usually a male and 2 females.

and what is some good foods too feed them?
i have been giving them a pellet they seem to like
but want to give them something else to change it up a little bit for them.
was thinking maybe some frozen brine shrimp or blood worms.

Chromis aren't fussy eaters, Mine like a mixture I make up of fresh prawn and scallop.
Chopped up fine and frozen into flat blocks. Plus some mysis and whatever else nice I have laying around.

They will eat a range of things but its the really tiny foods that you can barely see when they are in the water that they love the most - mine go nuts for these frozen foods: Ocean Nutrition Invertebrate mix, lobster eggs, frozen baby brine shrimp.

Sounds good I'll give some of that a go and mine have eaten all the mysis shrimp that were in my tank prior to them.
And I tried some fresh prawns cut up but they didn't want a bar of it.
Thanks for the replies
