Hi All,

This evening I have noticed a brown/red colour thing on my coral. I have noticed a small piece on another too.

Can you please let me know what exactly this is??

I have done some google search and it looks like something called brown jelly, is that true?

and how can I save my corals?

Looks like it might just be a dead polyp. Have you tried removing? Syphon off or try tweezers.

I'm not inclined to think it's a dead polyp. If you get die off you're normally left with empty skeleton etc. This is larger than the surrounding healthy poplyps. Unfortunately the photos are a bit small to get any detail but it almost looks like a parasite to me or the crap you get with brown jelly disease on torches etc.

Either way the tweezers are probably a good start. Maybe squirt a bit of some coral remedy on the area too. Any chance of a much larger photo?
