Hi guys, I continually have issues whereby my calcium and magnesium levels are on the high side, despite water changes it keeps going back up, a large water change drop it but it creeps back up again, any one got any ideas.
I am aware that the phosphate levels are high and have recently started using phosguard to try and drop them, going onto see how this goes me if no luck using this I'm going to use the pool starter method to get a drop and then monitor. It's this method
Have you tested the water your using for water changes too see what your putting into the tank?
Have you had someone else test your water and confirm your results?
Alk of 1500? what unit of measure are you using here? or is that your Mag reading :confused:
The CA and Mg must be coming from somewhere, you just need to find out where....
Lanth Cl. and Lanth Gly. Hex. are powerful tools, and when used correctly will do wonders for your P levels. IF your following the general methods employed in that thread you wont go far wrong ;) HTH
High Calcium and magnesium sounds like a good thing. Put a big clam in the tank and this may help keep it under control as they tend to use a lot of both mag and cal
