I thought it was about time I got a camera but can't spend a lot of money on it, maybe only a couple of hundred dollars...

I need something with macro(obviously) and would like to have built in battery or recharger...Night mode would be good and video camera for the kids concerts and other special moments...

I like the Canons but has anyone else got any suggestions?

i always had good results with a decent Samsung. around the $200-$300 mark? had a decent video mode on it to?
