Biopellets
Hi all,
I've been running Biopellets for a while now, Nitrate has gone from over 10 to 0
So my question is ,
As canister filters are great for Breaking things down to nitrate ( Nitrate factory's )
Then stop there, Which is why not many people use them anymore , Do you think they could now have a role to play , With the new generation of Nitrate reducers ?

I too use the bio-pellets, which export the nitrate and phosphates in the tank into bacteria that my filter feeding invertebrates can then consume. It is amasing the advances that have occured in this hoppy in recent years. Purigen is great that polising water and removing organics prior to them being converted to amonia/nitrite/nitrate, but it will not remove amonia/nitrite/nitrate.
