Best Water Temp?
I've been doing lots of reading about optimal temperatures for mixed reef or SPS/softie reef and fish tanks and there is some conflicting information. I'm keen to know at what temp you've had best results for your fish and SPS/softies tanks please?

i run mine at 25.5
with a controlling thing that turns the heater on when it drops .3 degrees and then turns the chiller on when it raises .3

Mine fluctuates in winter from 24-26.5 and in summer from 26-28.5 (I try to keep it below 27.5 though).

When the outside temp is relatively mild and stable it stays on 25.5-26 for long periods.

Min: 25.6C
Max: 25.9C
Average: 25.75
Fluctuation: 0.3C

The key thing for SPS is stability, which is achieved with little fluctuation.

It is certainly possible to keep SPS at higher temperatures, but my personal experience is that problems tend to happen faster due to the accelerated metabolism of the corals. Therefore, less time to detect and fix the issue.

as send above said stability is key. i run 25 in winter and 27 in summer to save some cost running a heater and chiller.
