Noticed that my bangaii has what looks like a thick white poop kinda stuck half way out its bottom.
It's been off it's food a bit the last day or so.
I looked it up and it could be a problem they have called Iridovirus.
I'm just about to quarantine it to be on the safe side.
Anyone with any thoughts on this?

Pic shows the white bit trying to get out.
It's eating OK when I just fed it - just wait and see.

Maybe it's just trying to squeeze out a big dump :confused:

You can all stop worrying . . . he was just taking a shit. :) All back to normal now.
I reckon it must have stretched his freckle a fair bit. No more squeeky farts.

I would keep an eye to make sure his poop is normal again in the next few days - if it continues to be white, send the photo to Melb Aquarium and ask if its anything that they recognise - someone may look at that pic and go 'that's internal parasites...' or whatever so its always worth asking.

Yes give it a couple of days - he'll be fine.
