I've seen them.diving.in the Philippines but couldn't ID them even then. It's On a new peice of rock i bought ( purely cos it was on it ) anyone.know what it is. Is it an Egg case, a coral, an Extrsterrestrial life form ????

Looks like bubble algae to me. Nuisance algae.

yep that is a huge bubble algae. Proceed with caution, need to remove from the tank without popping it.

Reminds me of the "anemone" rocks one of my LFS used to sell, which was rocks covered in aptasia
