Acontial filaments
Came across something I had not seen or heard of before- Acontial filaments are seen most often in SPS corals and are used against other coral neighbours. These arise from the gastric cavity and are very potent. These are different to sweeper tentacles which are modified polyps but which in essence do the same thing-i.e.fight other corals

I seen this a fair bit in my loaded SPS before the reaquascaping. Very interesting stuff. Not a happy neighbour.
