G’day all,

Time for another Pic heavy update.

The Tank has been cruising along and believe it or not I haven’t done a water change for 3 months.

(You may be able to tell because of my sand bed)
I stopped doing WC when my P04 & Nitrates were very low. (I assume this is because I use part Zeo & part AF)

Things I have done in the past month was add some fish.

One mandarin

Two Pyjama cardinals

This was because I had problems keeping my nutrient’s levels up. plus I couldn't help myself.

While I have done very little in terms of maintenance, I am due to put in a few hours.

My CALRX reactor need a good clean and I replace my Co2 bottle last night.

A 4 liter CO2 bottle last's 6.5 months and my sump need a vacuum.

My sandbed needs a good clean also….lol

T5 are almost due to be replace

I have attached a photo I took in May so you can see the growth in the past 5/6 months.

Considering a lot’s of my large corals have been fragged often there is still a hell of a lot of growth

Early on I lost two Milly’s due to low nutrient’s (well that’s what I think)

But since then things have been flying.

Thanks mate the transition takes forever. It's been at least 12 months and still a fair way to go.

Hey mate, I too have come up on my tree months without water changes. So far I have no reason to go back. However I did remove my sock three weeks ago and I thought I'd see a reduction in Phosphates but I didn't. I use a chaeto bed to strip phosphates and prior to this had Phos around .03 - 0.1
I think the sock must have been holding some stuff and when removed it would mean I removed the source of it...? Another factor would be how often the sock gets changed, that was every 5 days.

So i'll continue with the sock, I also dose the A B C D Redsea colours program along with Redsea A and B reef energy. Its going really great otherwise and no water changes do make it so much easier...
