THE DIY METAL HALIDE PENDANT

Finished my light fixture...quite happy with it - its basically a 70W shopfitters halide inside a stainless steel mixing bowl.

Credit must go to Karlo from NR for the idea.

Might work a bit more on the stand for the light - at the moment its just conduit...may change it to some sort of steel pipe or maybe just paint over the super attractive orange.

Latest FSS (Full System Shot). You can see the electronic ballast for the MH mounted on the wall next to the tank on the right. It's annoying that the lead from lamp to ballast is limited to one metre length:
